- STATS Limited - Influences of Sustainability and the Environment on New and Existing Development
-
Venue: Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall
Location: London
Cost: £50Flooding, air quality, noise and vibration, contaminated land and energy efficiency all increasingly affect property development and investment values. In order to address these issues a seminar will take place at the Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall on 10th May, entitled ‘Influences of Sustainability and the Environment on New and Existing Development’
The seminar will be chaired by Richard Fiddes, a partner at King Sturge, and a personalized CPD certificate will be provided for delegates.
Speakers will include Clive Griffiths, Environment Director at STATS Limited, who will summarise past, present and future environmental influences on property values. Dr Paul Webster of Hydro-Logic will address issues relating to the growing risks associated with flooding. Tony McNally, Managing Director of Climate Change Solutions Ltd will provide a guide to the prediction and modeling of environmental factors to meet increasing demands for sustainability and Richard Greer from Arup Acoustics will examine sustainable acoustic design for buildings, particularly within the context of urban masterplanning to attract families and mixed communities to our cities.
Seminar convener Julie Carter, a principal environmental consultant with STATS anticipates a high demand for seminar places, commenting, “Investors are being encouraged to ‘catch the green wave’ because environmental issues are affecting almost every market and the property sector is currently coming under closer scrutiny with regard to energy efficiency and climate change. This seminar is designed to provide a surfing lesson on key environmental issues for those that plan, design, construct, manage or maintain the built environment. “
Delegate places cost £50 and are allocated primarily by invitation. However, limited places are available by applicationFor more information on this event click here to send an email enquiry
