Chesterton - Industrial Letting - Southampton, Nursling Industrial Estate

Date: 21 Oct 2004

Southampton property specialist Chesterton has successfully completed a deal to lease a 20,000 sq ft warehouse unit on the city's Nursling Industrial Estate.

The unit, on Oriana Way, has been leased for ten years to Lecky Metal Ornaments Ltd, which was represented by Jason Webb of Vail Williams, from landlord Electricity Supply Nominees - less than three months after the previous tenant's lease expired.

Four units on the prime industrial estate have now been let since the beginning of the year, and six more - ranging in size from 16,000 sq ft to 61,000 sq ft - are still available. The land is on one of Southampton's most important industrial areas, with close proximity to the M27 and M3, as well as the city's airport, railway and docks.

The most recent deal involves an industrial warehouse, rented for £112,000 per annum, which has its own large, secure concrete yard, offices on two storeys, and a dedicated car parking area.

And James Prowse, associate director of Chesterton's Southampton Agency department, believes the other units will be equally as popular.

He said: "We're extremely pleased to have concluded yet another successful deal on Nursling Industrial Estate.

"The units involved are top quality warehouses with unequalled transport links, which

so far have proven highly desirable to the region's commercial companies. We have had a lot of interest in the other remaining units, so believe they will also be successfully leased in the near future."
