Forsters - Offices Development - London EC1, Crystal Court
Date: 24 Jan 2000
Forsters and Kingsley Napley acted on the disposal/development of Crystal Court, Briset Street and St John's Square, in Farringdon, EC1.
St John's Square Property Limited acquired the properties for redevelopment in 1999 and have now forward sold the development when completed to Dovaly Trading Limited, in association with Tom Dowling & Associates, for over £10 million. Dovaly Trading Limited and Bee Bee Developments Limited have entered into a joint venture for the leasing and ultimate disposal of the investment in the completed development.
Forsters' partner Martin Halling acted for Dovaly Trading Limited, whilst Kingsley Napley partner, Keith Laws, acted for St John's Square Property Limited.
Forsters was formed in 1998 by lawyers (principally from the property and private clients groups) of Frere Cholmeley Bischoff. Its offices are in Mayfair and although its main focus is on property and private client, it also has a thriving commercial and litigation practice.
City law firm Kingsley Napley has an established property department (consisting of 8 partners), specialising in developments and joint ventures, planning and environmental issues. Last year the firm expanded the commercial side of its practice, merging with Walsh Lawson, and advises clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious commercial matters.
