Business Homes - Offices Sale - Whiteley, Victory Park
Date: 04 Jan 2008
A radio communications equipment provider with a global reach has purchased the freehold of a 3,057 square foot office at Hampshire's newest business park.
Barrett Europe paid £655,000 for unit nine at Victory Park, a £14m office park scheme at Solent Business Park, Whiteley, near Southampton.
The firm will relocate in February from leased premises at Lenten Street in Alton, near Winchester. It had been in the town 14 years.
Southampton-to-Portsmouth business space specialist Hughes Ellard handled the sale on behalf of Victory Park developer Business Homes.
So far 11 of the 14 offices at Victory Park - completed in July 2007 by UK office parks developer Business Homes - have been sold.
A number of firms are in negotiations to rent space in offices pre-sold to property investors.
Barrett Europe's parent company is a leading manufacturer of long-distance, high-frequency two-way radios that are used in the most remote and inaccessible places in the world.
Customers include peace-keeping forces, international relief agencies, government organisations and multinational companies.
Other freehold companies at Victory Park, located just off junction nine of the M27, include estate agency Beals and legal law firm Lawcomm.
The scheme is being marketed by Hughes Ellard and King Sturge.
