Date: 14 Feb 2008
Franco D'Aniello, advised by Savills, has sold The Mill Hotel in Alveley near Bridge North in Shropshire to Elysian Hotels for an undisclosed sum.
Elysian Hotels, a new hotel operator with a background in healthcare, intends to undertake a refurbishment programme at the outstanding four star commercial and leisure hotel. Built around a 17th Century watermill, the property comprises 41 en-suite letting bedrooms, impressive public areas including a restaurant with 100 covers and five function rooms such as the Terrace Suite and Allumbridge Suite, which can accommodate up to 200 and 150 people respectively. The property is set within extensive grounds of approximately eight acres (19.76 acres) and the new owner has a multitude of exciting plans for the business including the addition of a Health Spar.
Alistair Greenhalgh, associate director at Savills' Manchester office, comments: "The Mill Hotel is an attractive building offering strong potential and it is the intention of Elysian Hotels to undertake further development with a view to continuing to deliver an upmarket product to both local residents and trade from outside the area."
