Douglas Duff - Industrial Sale - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Date: 17 Apr 2008

Strong demand for small freehold units in Milton Keynes means that all but one of the premises have been snapped up at Genesis, a select development of compact business units at Tanners Drive, Blakelands. Agents Douglas Duff are delighted that five of the six units have already been ear-marked by expanding local companies in the service-based sector.

"Terms have been agreed for five buyers within a few weeks of practical completion on the units" commented Jonathan Whittle of Douglas Duff. "We knew high-quality smaller units were in short supply, but we have been pleasantly surprised that, in the face of gloomy economic forecasts, local companies are bucking the trend and investing in their own premises."

Matt Sutton, Managing Director of Westhall Estates, said: "We set out to create a high quality, innovative scheme of flexible, small business units which would appeal to owner-managers by offering an excellent location, with the right specification, layout and range of unit sizes. With just one unit left for sale, we believe we have achieved exactly that, and are extremely pleased with the swift take-up so far. We are confident the last unit will soon be sold."

Arranged in two terraces on either side of a central access road, Genesis offers the only smaller units close to the M1.
