Alder King - Industrial Letting - Bristol, Avon

Property consultants Alder King have acquired Unit 4 in Albert Road, St Philips, Bristol on behalf of the Wolseley Group, the world's top supplier of plumbing and heating products to trade customers.

Wolseley took the 5,472 sq ft trade counter unit on a new 15 year lease from landlord Rope Maker Properties. Wolseley plans to open an "Electric Center" on the premises.

Eddie Quirk, branch manager of the "Electric Center", said: "This new depot enables us to offer electrical products and bespoke service solutions to electrical contractors, industrial maintenance staff and the public sector."

The new store is part of a nationwide expansion programme by Wolseley for the Electric Center chain. They opened the first Electric Center in 2006 and now have over 90 stores across the UK. This rapid expansion has already established them as the fifth largest electrical distributer in the country.

Alder King is Wolseley's sole agent across the South West. Faye Wilson, industrial negotiator at Alder King, commented: "Albert Road in St Philips proved an ideal location for Wolseley's latest branch, because it is one of Bristol's prime city centre industrial locations and attracts a large number of trade customers."

The new branch will be the second Electric Center that Wolseley has opened in Bristol.
