Alder King - Industrial Letting - St Philips, Bristol

Date: 03 Jun 2008

Property consultants Alder King have let an industrial warehouse on Albert Road, St Philips on behalf of Willment Western Ltd.

The 9,150 sq ft unit has been let to Bristol Textile Recyclers (BTR) Ltd on a 10 year new full repairing and insuring lease at a rent of £50,000 per annum exclusive.

BTR purchase used clothing, accessories, curtains, bedding, soft toys and paired shoes from charity organisations throughout Southern England and South Wales. They recycle the garments at their Bristol factory in St Phillips Marsh and export them to Africa, Pakistan and Eastern Europe.

Due to expanding operations, BTR have acquired the unit in Albert Road and will use it in conjunction with their existing premises in St Phillips. The property will be used to store and sort the recycled items, before being transported to the factory to be recycled and distributed.

Gary Mead, industrial negotiator at Alder King commented: "BTR undertake a crucial function, providing clothes and toys to people in the third world, to improve their lives. They have recently expanded the business and their new premises in St Phillips will allow them to recycle even more clothing and distribute it to those in need."

Alder King represented the landlord, Willment Western Ltd. The tenant BTR Ltd, was unrepresented.
