Development of eight new commercial units is about to begin at established industrial park, Barnwood Point in Gloucester, with two units already pre-let to national occupiers.

Developers Croudace Properties have unveiled plans for a major development project at the scheme, which will create new commercial, trade and warehouse buildings available on new leases. Building 2 will provide seven new units, ranging in size from 6,890 to 13,700 sq ft. Each unit will have excellent frontage to Corinium Avenue, which forms part of the Barnwood Bypass. Unit 2.01 has been pre-let to Edmundson Electrical. Building 3, which will total 20,000 sq ft, has been pre-let to Storage King.

Croudace Properties have appointed property consultants Alder King and AtisReal to market the properties, which will be available in December 2008.

Barnwood Point is a well known 11 acre industrial development, prominently located fronting the A417, Corinium Avenue, to the east of Gloucester. It currently has warehouse space totalling 184,000 sq ft, in unit sizes up to 70,000 sq ft. Croudace Properties have already refurbished large parts of the estate to meet food storage standards and developed external areas for circulation, loading and trailer parking and two units totalling 70,000 sq ft are now available.

Adrian Rowley, partner at Alder King commented: "These development plans offer occupiers the opportunity to take high quality, high profile buildings in a superb location fronting the Barnwood bypass.

"The two pre-let transactions provide an excellent endorsement to the scheme and illustrate its attractiveness."
