SEGRO - Industrial Letting - Radlett, Hertfordshire

SEGRO, Europe's leading provider of flexible business space, has secured a pre-let to Blanco UK Ltd in the fourth phase of its Parkbury scheme in Radlett, Hertfordshire.

Blanco, the kitchen appliances company, has taken Unit 401 at Phase 400, Parkbury to form its new UK headquarters. The unit, totalling 40,000 sq ft (3,716 sq m), has been pre-let on a new 15-year lease.

Construction work has now started on site for four industrial/warehouse units totalling 84,499 sq ft (7,850 sq m), with completion scheduled for January 2009.

Alan Holland, Regional Manager of SEGRO, comments: "This prelet, for the only new build in the Hertfordshire area this year, demonstrates how the right product in the right location is still attractive in this difficult market. SEGRO is well placed to push forward development to cater for the existing occupier demand."

Parkbury currently comprises 268,030 sq ft (24,900 sq m) of modern warehouse space let to 20 tenants including Viglen, Compass and BMI.
