Small businesses and start-up companies are benefiting from a range of versatile office and industrial accommodation at the Pleasley Vale Business Park.
Completed at the end of April the first occupiers are already raring to move and get settled in.
Russell Turk Business Software, a software development company providing complete computer solutions to the public and private sector, are the first occupants of the new office suites at Mill 3.
With the creative industry sector in Nottingham growing quickly there is a demand for low cost office and industrial accommodation. These refurbished premises offer a huge amount of flexibility, which is ideal for small businesses.
Dan Mahoney, Innes England said: "It is great to see companies starting to move in to these premises. The creative industries have the potential for wealth creation and new job opportunities in and around Nottingham and these premises are a great stepping-stone.
Bolsover District Council has recognised the need for flexible accommodation and provide high quality premises at competitive rates in a stunning location. The units range from 200 - 1030 sq ft in a former textile mill just a few miles from J29 of the M1."
Bolsover District Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Councillor Alan Tomlinson said, "We saw a gap in the market for providing good quality accommodation for the creative industries out there and took it. Now that the first tenants are in, I am sure it won't be long before more follow and it will become a hive of activity."
The Mill has been redeveloped with the support of the European Regional Development and Alliance SSP.
Russell Turk from Russell Turk Business Software said: "Due to continued expansion over the last eleven years, the company had out-grown its office at North Wingfield, so earlier this year set out to find suitable replacement accommodation."
After viewing a number of available properties the company considered Pleasley Vale to be the best choice. The Pleasley Vale office was chosen due to its location, excellent facilities, IT infrastructure and, of course, cost."
