Aurora Property Developments and Premier Property Group (PPG) have submitted plans for a comprehensive refurbishment of a prime office building in the heart of Manchester.

Number 22 to 26 Cross Street, which is adjacent to The Royal Exchange, will be refurbished into a high-class office development with a retail outlet on the ground floor. It is expected work on the eight -storey 26,000 sq ft building will commence in November with the offices available for occupation in June 2009.

The multi award-winning international architect and design practice, HKR Architects have designed the new offices, which will range from approximately 2,000 sq ft to 21,800 sq ft The retail outlet extends to
approximately 2,600 sq ft with additional basement storage available.

Ash Griffiths, director at Aurora commented: "Number 22 to 26 Cross Street is a stunning period building in a prime location and we have taken every step in the design process to ensure we deliver the most
exclusive office accommodation available."

Aurora and PPG have appointed CB Richard Ellis and Knight Frank as joint agents to market the office accommodation and Jones Lang LaSalle for the retail outlet.

David Porter, Partner at Knight Frank said: "The building is ideally located in the centre of Manchester's business district. With its combination of the original façade and new high quality space
internally, we are already receiving a significant amount of interest from occupiers seeking self contained floors. It is perfectly placed to meet the current office demand in the city."

East entrepreneur Sir Tom Cowie OBE and Landid chief executive Trevor Silver.
