Eddisons - Offices Sale - Leeds

Date: 07 Aug 2008

Iveridge Hall, on the outskirts of Leeds, has been sold to a private individual by the Leeds office of leading chartered surveyors Eddisons for a figure in excess of £1.3 million.

The prestigious period detached office premises, with various outbuildings, extends to 4257 sq ft in a total site covering approximately 1.55 acres and is set within a rural setting on the southern edge of the village of Oulton.

The unnamed purchaser has a range of ambitious plans for the site which may include the creation of a small business centre, subject to the necessary consents.

John McNeill of Eddisons, said: This is an excellent site which generated strong demand and enabled us to complete the deal quickly and achieve a figure in excess of the original guide price. This clearly shows that there is still strong interest in good quality sites in the area despite the current down turn in the commercial market.'

A major feature of the site is its excellent location on the A642 which is less than half a mile from Junction 30 of the M62 Motorway. The nearby cities of Leeds and Wakefield are both also easily accessible.

'As a business location Iveridge Hall combines the rare luxury of a rural setting with the proximity to the motorway network which is becoming a pre requisite for most organisations,' said John McNeill.

Eddisons conducted the sale of Iveridge Hall on behalf of receivers BDO Stoy Hayward.
