Drivers Jonas LLP - Offices Sale - London

Date: 08 Aug 2008

The City of London's 67 Lombard Street has been sold for £19m. Drivers Jonas LLP (DJ) advised the vendors Exemplar/MSREF on the 93,443 sq ft freehold sale which was bought by Hartwells, the UK arm of a Jeddah based consortium.

The development site is behind a retained façade which has planning consent for Grade A office space offering a unique development opportunity in the heart of the square mile.

Notwithstanding the current rate of development in the City the purchaser could see the long term benefits of securing a top quality location. DJ commented that this was a positive view on a long term investment showing purchasers are still prepared to invest notwithstanding the current supply side issues.

67 Lombard Street lies 150 metre to the south east of the Bank of England. The property occupies a prominent corner on the north side of Lombard Street at its junction with Birchin Lane, half way between the junction with Gracechurch Street to the east and King William Street to the west.
