DLG Architects - Appointment - Leeds
Date: 26 Aug 2008
National practice DLG Architects has promoted Richard Austwick to Associate Director at its Leeds office just eight months after joining the firm.
Richard heads up DLG's food industry team and Senior Partner Julian Monaghan praised Richard's management of ongoing projects within the practice worth £20 million. "At DLG we made a commitment to put people at the heart of our business and that includes attracting and retaining staff of Richard's calibre. Over a short space of time he has really proven he is a valuable asset to our team and therefore his promotion is truly deserved."
With over 20 years of architectural experience, Richard joined DLG having previously worked at SDA Architects in Leeds where he specialised in designing and facilitating developments on difficult sites. He worked on a number of Motor Retail Dealerships where he designed and managed a £6.7 million new car dealership for Mercedes-Benz of Ascot. This particular project presented its own challenges as it was excavated into a hillside and has been shortlisted for an 'Innovation in Property' award.
DLG Architects is an award winning national practice that offers a diverse range of expertise in sectors including retail, industrial, education, and offices. It also offers specific expertise in the preparation of feasibility studies, masterplanning and urban design, building conservation and sustainability.
