Atisreal - Mixed-Use Letting - Cardiff

Date: 28 Aug 2008

Emvic Developments advised by Atisreal and DTZ has landed an unusual tenant for one of its Cardiff trade counter units - Rebounders - which is planning Wales' first Centre of Excellence for disability trampolining.

Registered charity Rebounders provides trampolining for children and adults with any type of special needs or disability. Founded in 2002 the charity has continued to expand attracting children from as far afield as Cwmbran, Pontypridd and Bridgend.

Rebounders Heather Sargent said: "The Rebounders Centre will be a unique facility for special needs and disabled children and adults of South Wales and their families. It will be the first centre of its kind in Wales, which we will develop into a teaching and training Centre of Excellence for disability trampolining."

The charity has taken Emvic's 3,000 sq ft Unit 9 at Quay Point, Collivaud Place, Ocean Park, Cardiff on a five year lease and at a rent based on £6.25 per sq ft. The letting agents are Atisreal and DTZ.

Atisreal surveyor Mark Sutton who advised Emvic said: "The units were designed with flexibility in mind for the trade counter or business unit occupier. The fact that leisure occupiers have committed to Quay Point underlines the need to be flexible to attract occupiers in the current climate."

Joint agent DTZ's Neil Francis was optimistic of securing an occupier for the final unit commenting "we continue to receive enquiries for the Quay Point development and anticipate achieving full occupation shortly".
