Knight Frank - Industrial Sale - Aberdeen
Date: 28 Aug 2008
Acting on behalf of MAN Ltd, Knight Frank has acquired and project managed through to completion the development of Unit A1 Kintore Business Park, Aberdeen. The property will be used as the new Aberdeen servicing centre for MAN Ltd and has been named as the North Sea Turbonology Centre.
Kintore Business Park is located approximately 15 miles west of Aberdeen city centre and has excellent dual carriageway road links to the City Centre, Dyce and Aberdeen airport. Unit A1 is the second new development to be completed at this location and comprises approximately 11,000 sq ft including workshop and office space and an extensive concrete yard.
Knight Frank advised MAN Ltd on the acquisition of the property starting at the design stage and subsequently securing the property in line with valuation for a price in the region of £1,000,000. The project was then passed to Knight Frank's building consultancy team who worked closely with both the developer and MAN's operational team to monitor the development through to completion.
Neil Young, Knight Frank said: "The purchase of Unit A1, Kintore Business Park was yet another example of quick turnover due to high demand in the Aberdeen industrial market. With so few opportunities available in Aberdeen, an increasing number of companies are being forced to look further a field. Kintore benefits from excellent road links to Aberdeen, and importantly Aberdeen airport, and this combined with the quality of the property ensured that MAN Ltd were able to secure an excellent deal."
