Two industrial units on Ffrwdgrech Industrial Estate have been let in as many months bucking the downturn in the national property market reports Stuart Hogg Property Consultants.

Unit 3 comprising 3,000 sq.ft was let in July to award-winning ingredients specialist Beacon Foods for additional short term warehousing space while Unit 1, also 3,000 sq.ft, was let to another company relocating into the area for storage, distribution and production of high quality parts to the automotive sector specialising in rally cars.

The new occupiers join Rourke Davies and Plumb Center with the parade of units now fully occupied. Stuart Hogg Property Consultants acted on behalf of the Landlord, T & C Properties based in Cowbridge. Stuart Hogg commented, "Industrial and workshop units are in relatively short supply in rural towns like Brecon so it is not surprising that these units have been let in quick succession even against a backdrop of lower activity levels. In both cases we were able to complete the transactions smoothly and in the case of Beacon Foods, we were able to hand over the keys and complete the lease within a week.

It is encouraging to see local businesses expanding and companies relocating into the area generating the need for additional space. Hopefully this might encourage further development of units in the future either by the Welsh Assembly or perhaps private developers."
