National commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has concluded a string of successful lettings at Meadowhall Trade Centre in Sheffield on behalf of insurance giant, AXA.

The last remaining unit at Meadowhall Trade Centre, providing 11,891 sq ft of industrial space, was let to a regional occupier on a new 10 year lease at a rent of £5 per sq ft.

The scheme has been a huge success since undergoing extensive refurbishment, with the letting of a further three units to Goodyear, Autoglass, and Storage King at an average rent in excess of £5 per sq ft.

Ed Norris, of LSH's Sheffield office, commented: "Its close proximity to Sheffield city centre and excellent transport links to the M1 motorway has made Meadowhall Trade Centre a hub for local and national businesses alike. This final letting demonstrates that, despite the current challenging economic climate, there is clearly still a continual demand for leasehold premises in the Sheffield area."
