Horbury - General Appointment - Rotherham, England
Date: 05 Sep 2008
A leading South Yorkshire construction specialist is going from strength to strength despite the difficult climate in the industry, with four staff appointments.
The Horbury Group, based in Rotherham, made the forward move which has seen the new employees join Sales and Estimating teams across the firm.
Horbury Building Systems has welcomed two new members - Stuart Williams, 34, from Sheffield, and Phil Garland, 36, from Hull. Phil has taken over as Manager of the Sales and Estimating team, after working in the construction industry for over 18 years.
MWS Joinery, which became part of The Horbury Group in 2000, has appointed Will Lane, 24, while Titan Ceilings has seen the addition of Dave Jackson, 40, from Rotherham, who worked at Ancon in Sheffield for over 20 years.
David Priestley, Sales and Marketing Director at The Horbury Group, said: "The employment of new staff members is a great indication of the fact that Horbury is continuing to move forward as a company.
"It is fantastic to see the company is maintaining its strong business dynamic through the shift from contracts on residential developments to a very successful portfolio of public sector contracts, especially in such a difficult time for the industry."
The Horbury Group, who has recently moved to a new development of state-of-the-art offices in Moorgate, is an established group of nine companies operating throughout the UK.
The firm has been involved in a number of major national developments over the past year, including The Gateway in Leeds, South Grove House in Rotherham and Birmingham Super Hospital.
