Raymond Brown - Appointment - Wales

Raymond Brown has made another key appointment and welcomes Chris Craufurd as operations director to head its Wales division, Raymond Brown Cymru.

Based at the company's new regional office in Bridgend, Chris brings a wealth of industry knowledge to his new role. He has spent the past 32 years specialising in contracting issues across sectors including highway, marine, railway, environmental, defence, energy and industrial and building works.

This is the latest move by Raymond Brown - part of the Raymond Brown Group - to expand its business into new regions across the UK to meet the demand by its customers for local delivery.

Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Chartered Environmentalist, Chris will lead Raymond Brown's expansion across Wales to establish the company as a recognised provider of choice for civil engineering infrastructure in the region.

Chris said: "I am delighted to have joined Raymond Brown. It is a time of significant growth for the company and working alongside managing director Andrew Woodward we will focus our efforts on driving the business forward in the area.

"Raymond Brown has built its reputation on being able to offer complex construction and civil engineering projects delivered by in-house teams. There is a real demand for this type of service at a local level and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help develop the business still further."

He has an enviable reputation within the construction industry and has worked on a number of major multi-disciplinary collaborative projects including the £41 million Otterburn TAD project for Defence Estates, airport runway refurbishments and wind energy schemes.
