Slough Trading Estate speeds ahead as it announces two new motoring customers. The Autowerks and FHS Motor Racing are now operating at the Estate and have both located on Ajax Avenue.
The Autowerks, a specialist car repair service has taken a 5,000 sq ft (462 sq m) unit at 663 Ajax Avenue on a five year lease. The business will offer a wide range of services to both domestic and business customers, including the refurbishment of alloy wheels, window tinting, valeting, SMART (small medium area repair techniques) repairs and application of paint protection film.
Similarly, FHS Motor Racing Ltd has taken a 5,050sq ft (469 sq m) unit at Ajax Avenue which will be used for manufacturing. FHS is a fluid systems specialist providing innovative mechanical parts - such as hoses, filters and quick disconnect fittings - to leading companies in the motor industry at high levels, including teams in Formula 1 and the World Rally Championships, to ensure the optimum delivery of fuel, oil, water, brake fluid and other unique requirements.
Harry Michael of The Autowerks commented: "I'm glad we managed to source a unit on the Slough Trading Estate, we are geared up towards serving the automotive industry in both the new and used car markets, and with so many car dealerships in the local vicinity I am confident that The Autowerks will be able to help dealerships save time and make money through the use of our services."
George Shaw of FHS Motor Racing said: "We moved into the new facility due to an upsurge in demand for our specialist services. It's roughly double the size of the previous factory, so it will certainly help increase our production capabilities, both in terms of design and manufacture. We wanted to remain in Slough as there are convenient transport links to the majority of our clients, which is extremely important in our business."
Neil Impiazzi, Inward Investment Manager at Slough Trading Estate added: "We're delighted to welcome both FHS Motor Racing and The Autowerks to the Trading Estate. We have a long history of automotive customers at the Estate with the original Ford GT40 being developed here in the 1960's and both The Autowerks and FSH Motor Racing are welcome additions."
"Here at the Trading Estate we aim to offer a business location suitable for all types of businesses and we're committed to supporting business success. We have major global organisations working alongside a host of exciting start ups, all of whom can benefit from a combination of a great location, flexible business accommodation and SEGRO's attitude to flexible leasing and business support."
The Autowerks and FHS Racing join a strong cluster of automotive businesses already located at the Trading Estate including Ferrari, Fiat UK, Audi, Honda, Kwik-Fit, M&M Corporate Transport, National Windscreens and Bodytechnics. Some of the world's most successful companies already operate at the Trading Estate, including Black & Decker, LG ad O2.
