Drivers Jonas - Greenwich
Date: 14 May 2009
Drivers Jonas has successfully negotiated the purchase of a 1.5 acre site for the University of Greenwich. The central Greenwich site was bought for a new academic building, which represents a departure from the previous owner's plans for a high density residential and retail-led scheme.
DJ's Martyn Jones, who led the negotiations on behalf of the University, comments: "The University has been looking to relocate its School of Architecture & Construction and other facilities for some time now, and we have been assisting in this search. It is great news for the University, and a real boost for central Greenwich, as this site has been under-used for many years. The University will be able to inject significant investment into the area, not just during construction, but also for many years to come."
Drivers Jonas is retained to assist the University in the preparation of a planning application for the site.
