Knight Frank - Sheffield
Date: 01 Jun 2009
Knight Frank has successfully let half of the newly refurbished office space located just yards from Sheffield's Heart of the City project to three multi-media companies within just 12 weeks of the building's release to market.
The Sheffield office of Knight Frank and joint agent Lane Walker have leased more than 6,500 sq ft of prime city centre office space in the Turner Investments' development of MidCity House which faces The Moor shopping area and is highly recognisable with its curved pillar-supported façade.
Web, print and software design agency 3Squared and website hosting solutions business KDA Web Services are set to move into 1,000 sq ft suites on the second floor. They join marketing and advertising specialist Rapture Promotions which has taken 4,500 sq ft on the first floor.
Phase two of the refurbishment, which has seen a new glass reception added to the building, is now completed.
Tim Bottrill, partner in the Sheffield office of Knight Frank, said: "MidCity House is a well known city centre landmark and has undergone a substantial makeover to offer space in an unparalleled location.
These businesses have access to city centre amenities.
"The redevelopment has brought quality office suites to the market on flexible lease terms at a cost which has already appealed to forward thinking businesses, particularly in the current economic climate."
MidCity House forms a gateway to Pinstone Street and is within walking distance of the prestigious Heart of the City project, Orchard Square shopping centre, the refurbished Leopold Square and the city's legal quarter.
Tenants of the offices also benefit from close proximity to large-scale development of Arundel Gate, which includes two new multi-storey car parks, a new Jury's Inn, and proposed redevelopment of The Moor shopping facilities.
MidCity House also benefits from excellent public transport links, modern décor and lighting, open plan layouts, fully carpeted accommodation, new suspended ceilings and Disability Discrimination Act compliance throughout.
