Alder King - Truro

On behalf of the National Farmers' Union (NFU), property consultants Alder King and Start & Co have sold Agriculture House at Barrack Lane in Truro, to a private individual.

Alder King sold the property by an informal tender. The property consisted of a large detached building, which was formerly used as offices, various modern single storey extensions in gardens with a substantial car park. In total the site extends to 0.78 acres.

According to Tim Smart, head of agency at Alder King, the property could be suitable for residential development. Mr Smart commented: "Agriculture House is in an established residential area, to the south east of Truro city, a short walk from Lemon Quay and the city centre. The surrounding area consists of a mix of period and modern residential housing with a limited amount of commercial/office space. It would certainly not be out of place if the purchaser decided to redevelop the site into housing."

Alder King and Start & Co represented the NFU. The purchaser was unrepresented.
