Lincolnshire Media, owners of the Lincolnshire Echo and Target series, will soon be on the move to new state-of-the-art offices on the ground floor overlooking the Brayford at Witham Wharf, formerly Wigford House situated just a stone's throw away from their current base.

Staff will move into the 9,000 sq ft ground floor of Witham Wharf in October after Hodgson Elkington, the Lincoln-based chartered surveyors secured the prime city-centre letting to Lincolnshire Media on behalf of Wigford Limited, owner of the multi-storey property on Brayford Wharf East.

"We are absolutely delighted we have this new home for our newspaper and other publications. We can now move forward with a confidence and determination that will ensure the continuation of media services to meet the needs and expectations of the people of this county in the years to come," said Mark Price, managing director of Lincolnshire Media.

"Lincolnshire Media's decision to relocate to Witham Wharf and remain in the city centre is a great vote of confidence for the future and will allow it to consolidate its activities in what is a unique building in a prime position," said Stephen Bradford, partner at Hodgson Elkington.

"This is good news for all and we are pleased that Lincolnshire Media is staying in Lincoln. The letting of the ground floor is the final piece of the jigsaw of Whitham Wharf. We also look forward to the completion of the new car park on Brayford Street this coming December and subsequent road which will tidy up this area," said Chris Howard, managing director of Wigford Limited.

The fitting out of Lincolnshire Media's new state-of-the-art public reception area and staff offices will be carried out by South Hykeham based Trent Valley Construction Limited.
