SPI buy Retail Development in Leeds

Scottish Provident Institution have acquired the freehold of 9/11 Trinity Street, Leeds from Yorkshire based developers Oakgate Group PLC.

The unit immediately adjoins the Western entrance to Marks and Spencer and is just one shop removed from the prime junction at the corner of Commercial Street. Currently occupied by JD Sports, it is SPI's intention to substantially redevelop when the present lease expires in 1998 to provide a unit offering 6,000 sq. ft. on three trading floors. The development should be trading early in 1999.

A figure in excess of £2,300,000 was paid for the freehold. SPI were represented by R. V. Stroud & Associates of Solihull, jointly with Chesterton.
