At Westway Cross, Greenford

Fast-food restaurant chain, McDonalds has opened its first restaurant in Greenford at Sears Property Developments' new 11,150 sq m (120,000 sq ft) Westway Cross Shopping Park.

The 232 sq m (2,500 sq ft) restaurant has 78 seats and includes a drive through facility. The unit is located at the entrance of shopping park which also includes the recently opened fashion retailer, The Outfit. McDonalds will be joined shortly by retailers HobbyCraft, Carphone Warehouse, Boots and Birthdays. The restaurant has agreed a 25 year lease.

Alan Oliver of Sears Property Developments comments:
"This is a major investment by McDonalds and we are delighted to be able to welcome the fast-food restaurant to Westway Cross. A letting to such a highly regarded. restaurant chain is a real endorsement to the new shopping park and we expect continued success with the already trading units and the opening of the other high street retailers in the weeks to come."

John King, who owns the franchise for the new Greenford McDonalds, said:
"I'm sure this will be a tremendously successful partnership for McDonalds and Sears. I'm looking forward to opening and seeing the development grow."

Latham Yeomans are the sole letting agents for Westway Cross.
