Douglas Duff - Milton Keynes, Crownhill, Kent House & Tongwell, ShimaSeiki Building

Date: 09 Jan 2002

Demonstrating the continued strength of the commercial property market in Milton Keynes, Douglas Duff has recently disposed of two business units in off-market transactions.

Kent House, Crownhill, is a multi-use business unit of 1,102 sq m (11,863 sq ft) on a corner site of 0.40 hectares (1 acre). It has been let to Trico Ltd on a ten-year lease. Trico has relocated its windscreen wiper business from Dunstable.

The ShimaSeiki building, Tongwell, totalling 855 sq m (9,000 sq ft) has been sold freehold to automotive parts distributor Coplan Ltd which has expanded from premises in Bletchley.

"Interestingly, both transactions have proceeded 'off market' - without external advertising" commented David Louch of Douglas Duff. "Confidentiality agreements or market conditions may make it difficult or unwise to publicise the availability of a commercial property. However, at Douglas Duff, we have the ability to market properties in a variety of ways to suit individual client interests, and in both these cases, we were able to identify suitable occupiers and negotiate terms appropriate to both parties."
