Three Deals In Four Weeks At Borough Parade, Chippenham
Crest Nicholson Properties has let 166 sq m (1,791 sq ft) to three new tenants in the last month at Prudential's 7,714 sq m (83,000 sq ft) Borough Parade shopping centre in Chippenham. The latest retailers to take units at the centre are David Christopher, Nationwide and Outdoor Venture, leaving only four units available, with one unit in solicitors' hands.
Herefordshire based fashion jewellery chain, David Christopher has taken 43.6 sq m (469 sq ft) Unit 2, on a 15 year lease at a rent of £16,500 per annum. This will be the company's 13 th outlet in the south of England.
In addition, Nationwide has taken Unit 1 extending to 9.5 sq m (102 sq ft), which faces the car park and has two cash point machines. The unit has been taken on a five year lease at a rent of £ 10,000 per annum.
These two lettings follow hot on the heels of deal with Famous Army Stores, trading as 'Outdoor Venture', which trades from a combined unit of 216 sq m (2,320 sq ft) on the ground and first floors. The outdoor pursuits specialist has taken a 15 year lease at a rent of £37,000 per annum.
Simon Tothill of Borough Parade developers' Crest Nicholson Properties, says: 'We have had a very successful month with these three quality lettings complementing the already strong retail mix. Only four units remain available and current negotiations indicate that Borough Parade will soon be 100% let".
Mansfield Eistob Main, King Sturge & Co and Donaldsons acted on behalf of Crest Nicholson Properties and Prudential. Ramsdens represented David Christopher, and both Nationwide and Outdoor Venture represented themselves.
