Date: 01 Jul 2002
Roy Douglas, Senior Partner at commercial property firm Douglas Duff, has joined the Bedford Development Agency (BDA) as a director. The BDA’s remit is to promote Bedford as a centre of business and commerce, to liaise with other agencies and contribute to their strategies, and to work for the economic well-being of the town and its residents.
"As a long-standing fan of Bedford, I am delighted to join the BDA" said Roy Douglas. "Bedford has a central UK location, a skilled work force, an improving infrastructure and good regional communications so I look forward to assisting the BDA in its important role."
The BDA is a partnership between Bedford Borough Council and the local business community. It has recently been re-structured, and a new team of directors is in place, representing the town’s major businesses and employers including ASDA, Tesco, Boxclever and Unilever. The directors offer a variety of professional expertise and local knowledge. As a founding partner of Douglas Duff, Roy Douglas will bring his experience of the local and regional commercial property market to the BDA.
