Forsters - Retail Sale - £40 Million Portfolio

Forsters has acted in connection with a total of 6 shopping centre acquisitions in the past 6 months.

Most recently, Forsters has acted for a consortium of private investors, of which Anglo Irish Bank's new private equity fund is one, on the purchase of two centres. The consortium has snapped up two shopping centres at Torquay and Hyde, Greater Manchester for a total purchase price of £40.9 m.

The two-level, 140,000 sq ft (13,000 sq m) Fleet Walk centre, Torquay consists of 60 shops. The 135,000 sq ft (12,500 sq m) Clarendon centre, Hyde comprises 51 shops, 26 kiosks and a supermarket on one level.
The Forsters team of assistants was led by partners Sophie Hamilton, Howard Gill, Paul Roberts and Craig Eadie.

Taylor Joynson Garrett (Paul Lawrence and Philip Beer) acted for the Vendor.
