Ashcroft Estates - Retail Letting - Hull, Northpoint Shopping Centre

As work starts on the construction of a 3,408 sq m (36,680 sq ft) extension to the £24 million Northpoint Shopping Centre in Bransholme, Hull, Ashcroft Estates (acting on behalf of Charterhouse Shopping Centre Fund II) has announced that it has already pre-let two of the four units in the development and that the two others are under offer.
The “big box” units in the £2.5 million extension range in size from 167 sq m (1,800 sq ft) to 1,950 sq m (21,000 sq ft). The two largest have been taken by Wilkinsons (1,950sq m / 21,000 sq ft) and Netto (929 sq m / 10,000 sq ft) respectively on 15-year leases. The other two units are under offer at rents in excess of £161.46 per sq m (£15 per sq ft).
According to Ashcroft Estates director Graham Cole:
“Northpoint is a strong district centre with an extremely loyal local catchment. The speed with which these four new units have been snapped up clearly demonstrates the high level of retailer demand for such schemes and we are already looking at other opportunities to create additional large units in various locations around the centre.”
Letting agents for the new units are Colliers CRE and DTZ Debenham Tie Leung.
Architects are CDA and project managers Tropus.
