TLT Solicitors - Retail Sale - Sunderland & East London

TLT Solicitors has acted for the academic bookseller Blackwell UK Ltd on the sale of four of its smaller, less profitable academic bookstores for an undisclosed sum.

The four stores have been sold to John Smith & Son, a Glasgow based bookseller and include two shops at the University of Sunderland and two at the University of East London.

The family owned company is the market leading academic bookseller in the UK with 68 stores. Founded in 1879 by Benjamin Henry Blackwell it is still owned and managed by his descendants.
