CMS Cameron McKenna - Retail Development - London N22, Wood Green, 42-54 High Road

Leading international law firm, CMS Cameron McKenna, has advised Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd on two transactions that will see the relocation of its store in Wood Green, London.

In the first stage of the transaction, Sainsbury’s has taken a new 25-year lease from Eagle Star of the Kwiksave and Etam stores at 42-54 High Road in Wood Green. Simultaneously, Sainsbury’s is subletting their existing Wood Green store fronting Lymington Avenue to Matalan. The Lymington Avenue store is held on a long-lease from Haringey Borough Council.

The new store, which is being redeveloped to provide 1270 sq m of retail space is expected to be opened by January 2003.
