Fisher Hargreaves Proctor - Retail Letting - Nottingham, 20/26 Wheeler Gate

Fisher Hargreaves Proctor acting on behalf of Canada Life have negotiated a new letting of premises at 20/26 Wheeler Gate, Nottingham to Specsavers Limited, who were represented by Alston Nock.
The premises, which have the benefit of a frontage to Wheeler Gate of 40’0” and provide approximately 4,300 sq ft of ground floor sales accommodation, have been let on a new 20 year lease at a rent of £190,000 per annum.
Canada Life confirmed that the new letting broke back to approximately £95.50 Zone A. David Hargreaves of FHP commented that this letting brought to an end a 10 year search for larger premises in Nottingham by Specsavers.
Rob Alston of Alston Nock, who introduced the opportunity to Specsavers, said “Nottingham is one of the major retail centres in the country and it is only appropriate that Specsavers have an optical superstore in this city.” He went on to say that the demand for large retail units in Nottingham was such that Specsavers were delighted to be able to secure such a unit in a prime location close to Marks & Spencer, Waterstones and the Virgin Megastore.
