Services Alpheus delivers and manages all types of water resources, plant and equipment that have a critical impact on the health and safety of consumers, employees and the public. We take a holistic approach to wastewater and liquid waste management by exploring ways to reduce waste, recycle or recover resources and utilise alternative sources of water.

Alpheus works with clients to ensure compliance with ever-tightening regulations. Our core focus is to use our expertise to economically operate and maintain water related assets, while at all times minimising environmental risks.

Examples of our offering include; operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plant for commercial clients such as Whitbread Hotels, Greene King and Shell; operation and maintenance of industrial water and wastewater assets for clients such as Milklink, Buxted Chickens, Bayer Cropscience and British Sugar; supply of ultra-pure water utilizing microfiltration and reverse osmosis membrane technologies for clients such as Centrica PB Ltd and E-ON; water recycle, reuse and waste minimisation; design, build and project management of water and wastewater treatment plant; consultancy and troubleshooting; disposal of liquid wastes.
Description Alpheus Environmental Ltd offers both industrial and commercial customers a specialist service in water and wastewater asset management. Alpheus is part of the AWG group of companies, a £1.8 billion turnover Infrastructure Group. As a wholly owned subsidiary of AWG, Alpheus has access to considerable technical resources including Anglian Water, Morrison Utilities and Morrison Construction and Purac.

Alpheus was formed 13 years ago to specialize in the operation and maintenance of industrial water and wastewater treatment plant and now employs c.75 staff nationwide. The Head Office is based at Bedford, with regionalised depots at strategic locations across the country.

We currently manage or maintain the water related assets of a wide range of blue-chip companies and have developed extensive technical and operational knowledge of a broad range of physical, chemical and biological processes. Much of this knowledge derives from real experience of operating and maintaining water treatment facilities.

We are an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited company with the backing of Anglian Water’s engineering, scientific and laboratory services as well as Europe’s largest telemetry system. Our skilled operational and management staff offers a 24-hour National emergency service and dedicated Help Desk.
