Services	Services include, but are not limited to, the following: Preliminary assessment and scoping of proposed development sites for ecological risks and opportunities (covering protected species, BAP species, and other ecology issues that may impact on planning, legal compliance or practical aspects of property development). Surveying proposed development sites for presence, distribution or population levels of protected species, e.g. great crested newts, bats, reptiles, badgers, etc. Checking buildings for evidence of bats prior to demolition/conversion. Dealing with wildlife issues associated with proposed activities on or near designated sites (e.g. SSSIs, County Wildlife Sites). Undertaking surveys for Biodiversity Checklists and other reports to accompany planning applications. Addressing other ecological, wildlife and biodiversity issues. All work is carried out in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM), ensuring reporting is honest and objective as required by local authorities and other organisations.
