The company has stayed true to its roots in the second city; working nationally, it now employs nearly 100 engineers covering the country, working from home, managed centrally and regionally by Service Managers and Regional Supervisors. Description	First in Service Limited goes back to 1966, when the original company was formed to provide air conditioning design, installation and maintenance expertise to computer room environments. This business continued, ever expanding both in coverage, numbers of staff, and in its client base, continually increasing the work carried out for major organisations, both locally and nationally. The then management recognised in 1977 the need for whole life care and service, and so the capacity for capital works, fixed price multi-trade packages and activity as a specialist contractor was developed, leading to a rapid expansion of business. This led into new areas of potential work, and so catering, heating and electrical works were added over the years. In order to capitalise on new technology and venture further in to new markets, the company was separated from it’s original roots in 1985, and named as now; market led changes ensued, and such was the demand from the retail and fast food customers, that the company expanded quickly, whilst still remaining a profitable privately owned organisation. This organic growth has continued until the present day, with a broad basket of buildings maintenance services available, along with a 24 hour manned help desk facility.
